The research problem statement forms the foundation for the entire research process. Yet many doctoral students struggle with how to communicate the problem they are attempting to solve through their research. Using Ron Jacobs' conceptual framework and experience working with graduate Human Resource Development students, Brian will help the learner develop a plan to articulate their research problem clearly. The workshop will review and use SDL examples to explore: 1) What constitutes a research problem? 2) How does one clearly articulate that research problem in a logical manner within the framework of the previous literature?
