We are just over one month away from the annual International Society for Self-Directed Learning (ISSDL) Symposium, and we’re excited to share a preview of this year’s dynamic and wide-ranging program.
The Symposium will feature sessions exploring Self-Directed Learning across diverse contexts, including:
A South African university organizational review
STEM student readiness
Generative AI–embedded assessments in higher education
A roadmap from pedagogy to andragogy
Insights from the r/Eldenring subreddit
A historical retrospective on self-directed learning
Nontraditional students in higher education
Creativity and innovation lab experiences for pre-service teachers
Register by January 17 (just a few days away) to take advantage of the reduced registration rate. Please note that the Symposium hotel room block will also be released after this date.

Students: Scholarships are available to cover registration costs. While participation as a presenter is listed as the first eligibility criterion, the committee will also consider students who are willing to volunteer during the Symposium sessions. Click here for additional scholarship information.
